Work hard, Play hard: Home Office Design Ideas

home office

When you work hard, you can afford to build yourself a beautiful home, add an addition to your home, or renovate a room or two. Whether you work from home, have a part-time gig, own your own business, or work in a fancy office building, work is part of our lives. Many times, work comes home with us. Since work requires attention, it makes sense for you to have a space or room in your home to complete work – a dedicated space you can go to finish your tasks for the day.

At Luxury Home Solutions, we will help custom design an office or workspace for you to fit your needs. Whether you need a lot of space or just a little area, we will work with you to come up with a perfect area for you to work in.  We will help guide you through the remodeling or designing of a work space or office in your home.

For this article, our team wanted to share with you some ideas for offices and work spaces in your home. We hope these ideas inspire you to create a beautiful space for you to get focused in!

  • Gray isn’t just a popular color for kitchens and living rooms. It’s also a popular color for home offices, as well.
  • Big open windows in an office/work space makes the office less stuffy and secluded.
  • Built-in bookshelves give you space for books, boxes, or paperwork.
  • An accent wall can add some color into the room. A black accent wall can add a lot of drama to a room.
  • Use furniture that’s similar to other furniture in your home so the room feels comfortable and inviting, and not cold and stand offish.
  • Make the room elegant with lamps, chandeliers, and sconces.
  • Bring design or color into the room with a big throw rug.
  • Make your space look and feel bigger with mirrors on the walls.
  • Warm up with room with a large skylight.
  • If work is bland, make it more fun by painting the walls a fun color like a mint green.
  • Plants in the office can help make the room calmer and air fresher.
  • Fill the room with art pieces to give the room some energy to help keep you going.
  • Save space by storing electronics and wire into drawers and cabinets or on shelves.

Use these ideas in your work space or home office design to help keep you inspired throughout the workday. You want to have a space that is inviting and that you enjoy being in, so it makes work more enjoyable.
