A necessary evil with any home? Cleaning. From dust to dirt, homes need their daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings. Whether you’re building a new home or remodeling your current home, you’re looking for a way to beautify your home; cleaning is essential to making sure your home stays beautiful, considering you spent a significant amount of time and money designing and building your space.  However, what we use to clean our homes isn’t as aesthetically pleasing. No one wants their brooms, dustpans and spray bottles on display, which is why broom closets exist. However, there are many more luxurious and elegant ways to create storage or a broom closet for your cleaning supplies and accessories.

At Luxury Home Solutions, we wanted to share some broom closet ideas with you that not only look nice but also don’t take up too much space in your home.

  • Since a lot of cleaning happens in the kitchen, install a shallow side closet-cabinet into your kitchen. Your guests won’t even know this closet is here as it will blend in with the other cabinets. You can easily store a broom, bottles, and dustpan in this space without losing cabinet space in your kitchen. You can opt for a deeper depth for this close if you have a lot of supplies.
  • If you really want to be discreet while optimizing space, design a pullout/slide out cabinet in your kitchen. This small cabinet slides out and gives you a space to hang brooms, mops, and dustpans. These cabinets’ depth and width are up to your needs and the size of your kitchen.
  • If you have a lot of supplies, designate an entire large cabinet to your items. Think of this broom closet like a pantry. You can have two doors that swing open and give you space for drawers, hooks, and even a place to keep big items like a vacuum.
  • Wherever your washer and dryer reside in your home, create a cabinet/broom closet around them. This way, you can hide your washer and dryer plus all cleaning supplies. All people will see is beautiful cabinet doors instead of bottles, sponges, and laundry.

Get imaginative when it comes to broom closet ideas! There are so many possibilities to creatively use space in the home.
